What CivPvP is, how to join, the plugins you'll use and the rules.

Overview

CivPvP is a Minecraft civilization PvP server. Citadel is the main event: teams claim land, build fortified bases and fight to hold flags.

Form a team
Preregister a team of 5 or more players and make a NameLayer group for it.

Build and fortify
Reinforce your base, place bastions and snitches, and run factories for supplies.

Hold the most flags
About 4 days in, every team gets a flag. Steal and defend them. Most flags at the end wins.

Starts: December 18, 1 PM EST
Map: 1,024-block radius
Center: Cornucopia at 0, 0, with loot drops every few days

Game modes

CitadelThe main team event: claims, raids and flags.
BunkiesWeekly fights. One team attacks a bunker, the other defends.
PvP PracticeOpen any time between events. Feeds the practice tier list.

Joining

1. Connect
Java Edition 1.21 to 1.21.11. No mods needed.
2. Join the Discord
Find a team, register for Citadel and get event times.

3. First day
New players get one free teleport to a teammate within 24 hours of joining. Use /help for the basics.

Plugins

The mechanics you'll use most, with their main commands.

NameLayer

Groups and permissions. Reinforcements, bastions and snitches all belong to a group, so make yours first.

Citadel

Reinforce blocks so they take many hits to break. Hold the material while you use the command.

Bastions

Protection fields around your base. Craft one with /recipes, then reinforce it to your group.

Note block snitches log players near your base. Link them to Discord with the @CivPVP bot after /discord link.

Exile Pearls

Kill someone with an ender pearl in your hotbar to send them to the End until their timer ends or they're freed.

Timers grow during the event, up to 10 hours

Combat Tag

Hitting or being hit tags you for 15 seconds. Logging out leaves a body that can be killed.

/logout (stand still 10 seconds)

Factories

Furnace, crafting table and chest side by side. Pick a recipe with a stick, add fuel, and output lands in the chest.

XP Spawners

Spawner shrines across the map give passive XP within about 4 blocks. Right-click one to take its loot.

Elevators

Stack lodestones in a column. Jump to go up, crouch to go down.

Hidden Ore

Ore isn't pre-generated. Mine stone and it turns into ore, at boosted rates for the event.

Voice Chat

Optional Simple Voice Chat mod. Talk to players within 48 blocks, or to your team in a group.

Rules

Breaking these can mean a mute, a ban or a team penalty.
